Spirit of the liturgy

i just started reading B16’s the spirit of the liturgy. and it is very interesting how he coorelates the mass to play. play time, practice for when we will be in heaven.

and then i read this quote that just knocked my socks off:

worship gives us a share in heaven’s mode of existence, in the world of God, and allows light to fall from that divine world into ours.

I really need to read that book again, with a highlighter. He makes some excellent observations that have changed my perceptions about the liturgy.
