I think where your problem resides is people’s disregard for the Word of God. The sad part is how many call themselves christian and believe what they want to believe claiming it is their interpretation even if it is the the exact opposite of what is written. They will use things stating that this verse or that verse is not to be taken literally, or this verse is symbolic.

So if a person does not believe the Word of God, and they don’t believe in the spirit world, chances are they never will unless they are saved/born again.

There is a multitude of people who say they are christian that view the OT as all mostly symbolic, including the creation story.

Anyway, back to topic. If you read in the scriptures, there have been times when God opened up eyes of men and women to the spiritual world. Then we can speak of the time Jesus was visited by what many believe was Elijah and Moses which was witnessed by three apostles I believe.

The thing is, the world we live in is a created world. The spiritual world is the real world. One day all of mankind will know this well.

Well, I have found that most people are like Darren in the bewitched TV series. They have to deny any supernatural appearance. Most are simply not psychologically strong enough to even remember a supernatural event that they have witnessed.

It is quite frustrating but I do not know what could be done about the problem.

this is a good argument. Thought is energy and energy cannot be desrtoyed only transformed. at death our thoughts enter ito a place that is just energy where there is no matter. this is showen in hebrews where it is said that moses things according to the pattern he saw in heaven. the old saying among mystics is “that which is above is like that which is below that which is below is like that which is above” when we “play” in our imagination we “touch” the outskirts of the spiritual realm which is made up of thoughts. Like st.anslem of canturbury wrote (only paraphrasing) god is the great thought from which all thought come from. if we are thoughts (rene descartes maxim I think therefore I am) than god to must be thought indeed he is the greatest thought becuse we can not think of anything greater than god and we are created in the image of god. EXODUS 3:14 GOD SAID TO MOSES “I AM WHO I AM” AND HE SAID "SAY TO THE PEOPLE OF ISREAL “I AM HAS SENT ME TO YOU”. WHEN JESUS IN HIS 7 I AM STATMENTS WAS REFERING TO THIS HE WAS SAYING HE WAS GOD THE GREAT THOUGHT MADE FLESH FOR US.

A monk that spoke with God has some books, treasures. However one book, The Way of the Kingdom by Arsenie Boca available in Romanian has a chapter about why Spiritism is very bad. He said than on a mental hospital 70% of people there did spiritism in their life. This is because by doing spiritism people may agree constiently or not to give spirits part of their mental; energy until the spirits can come into the body and can appear schizophrenia. This is a scientific Journal from American Psychological Association seeing a link between spiritism and schizophrenia. psycnet.apa.org/index.cfm?fa=main.doiLanding&uid=1941-03435-001
Schizophrenia means one body with 2 personalities, one people and one bad spirit fighting for control of body this is why self injuries appear, when bad spirit gets stronger.

So no to, spiritism, yoga, budhism, rei ki, tai ki, any form of magic, palm reading, coffee reading, qi qong and such.
