Can anyone provide me good solid websites on spiritual combat and spiritual healing? I have the book by Lawrence Scupoli, and it is very helpful, however I want to learn more. Any good solid websites that would adddress either topic, would be appreciated whether they be Catholic or Protestant. Thanks!

Gospel, what are you looking for? The “Spiritual Combat” that Scupoli elaborates is summarized in the title of his first chapter – Understanding the means for attaining Christian perfection. Looking at bit at St. Nicodemus, I surmise that he indulged in the Orthodox habit of taking Catholic ideas and upping the intellectual ante, which is not always useful to ordinary schleps like me. He could also have benefited from an occasional bath. Both approaches have looked rather daunting to me.

There’s another interpretation of the term “spiritual warfare” that is focused on bondage, possession, exorcism, deliverance, and angelic warfare. This is a legitimate area of study, and Shoshana’s recommendation of the Order of the Legion of St. Michael website looks good to me, on quick examination.

Just a bit of wisdom – you don’t volunteer for this kind of combat. The Queen places you in your foxhole, command post, or X-Wing fighter. Consecrate yourself to Mary, and she’ll give you all the excitement you can handle.

These are words of wisdom. If one wants to volunteer or is anxious to, it would be frowned upon. This is not something one applies for…one must be anointed.
