Does Spiritual Communion carry the same grace or close to that of actual Communion?

From what I understand, spiritual communion is not received sacramentally (receiving the Eucharist)… only spiritually.
in some churches you may go up in the communion line and cross your arms over your chest and the priest will give you a special blessing…that way you don’t feel left behind sitting in the pew.
This is a spiritual communion prayer that was given to me.

“My Jesus, I beleive that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there adn unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.”

Starrs,

From what I understand it does carry the same grace as recieving communion. From the Catichism I got this
"1415 Anyone who desires to receive Christ in Eucharistic communion must be in the state of grace. Anyone aware of having sinned mortally must not receive communion without having received absolution in the sacrament of penance. "
Hope it helps

PAX,
Michael
