It is by the sanctifying grace from Christ that we became spiritually alive. Is it correct to say, that holy people in the Old Testament like Abraham and Moses, who were in Limbo after death, had all been spiritually dead before Christ died and preached the Gospel to them in there? But didn’t Jesus say, “Moses also shewed, at the bush, when he called the Lord, The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; For He is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live to Him.” (Luke 20:37-38)?
Also, what about modern day people who died without knowing God and being baptized? If they are saved, at what moment would they become spiritually alive? At death? After private judgement?
