I’m so blessed to have the spiritual director and father that I have, and I’m so grateful that God brought him into my life. I don’t know where I would be if I had never met him. I’ve grown so much in my faith because of his guidance. Even just by his example alone, makes me want to have an even closer and stronger relationship with God. A few months ago, I was going through a trial and spiritual darkness, and God felt like He wasn’t there. I was really struggling and I felt like I couldn’t make it through it, but then when I saw my spiritual director, just by his presence I felt like I could make it through it. He is the holiest priest that I know, and in him I see Christ. I see him talking with other people, and it’s so beautiful! He brings such joy and peace and comfort. He’s been my spiritual director now for 3 years, and he’s a member of the community that I’m hoping to join (I’d be joining the sisters). I live near by right now due to college, but I will be moving back home in a few months, and he is also being sent away on missions and retreats soon. I’m home now for the summer, and I miss him very much. And I tend to overthink a lot about the future, and I’m thinking ahead of when I move back home, and I won’t be able to keep in contact with him very much. Is it wrong for me to miss him?
