My latest talk with my Spiritual Director was more or less a meat-and-potatoes dinner. Satisfactory, but no big deaals involved. We talked over my prayer life, and other aspects os my spiritual journey.
The main thing to note is that, during the previous session, I was still having problems with the AA promise that “We will not regret the past, nor wish to shut the door on it.”
Yes, I am aware that “Whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven.” Even my own past sins. And yet…
So my SD gave me a paper he had made up, of 4 excerpts from the Bible, which I am to read every day until our next session.
