Spiritual Director

Okay - I have done it. I have made an appointment with a spiritual director. I have no idea what “spiritual director” means I just know that I need something.

I was hoping to get some (name removed by moderator)ut from others who have gone or still go to a spiritual director. I realize its not “counseling”, what kind of things should I think about asking, or talking about???

I’ve never been to a spiritual director myself, but one thing I have heard is that the spiritual director usually lets the person do more talking than he does, and directs/ asks questions/ comments/ advises as necessary.

I’m sure the spiritual director will make you feel comfortable about the whole thing and will have dealt with many people coming for their first time. I’m sure that the he will lead and direct you and let you know what you should ask/talk about.
