Peace and blessings to you all.
I am looking for recommendations for spiritual gifts tests.
I have been looking for one produced by a catholic org if possible.

Any other denomination or good experiences welcome.

Pray well and stay well

Before I comment on your question you do have an unusual heading for your religion!. You aspire to The True God who is above religion–that maybe true of God but what about YOU:eek: I would define religion as an action of worship that a person is bound to do.And what is that you may ask of a person, why were we made? “We were made to know, love and serve God here on earth and be happy with Him forever in Heaven”(from the old “penny catechism”)

2105 of the Catecism says "The duty of offering God genuine worship concerns man both individually and socially. This is “the traditional Catholic teaching on the moral duty of individuals and societies towards the true religion and the one Church of Christ”----“THE SOCIAL DUTY OF CHRISTIANS IS TO RESPECT AND AWAKEN IN EACH MAN THE LOVE OF THE TRUE AND THE GOOD.It requires them to make known the worship of the one true religion which subsists in the Catholic and apostolic Church—”

So my **first Spiritual gift **test to you is "have you in your heart and mind "the love of the true and the good?

Jesus said " I am the Way,the Truth and the Life so **the second spiritual gift test **is–Have you accepted Jesus?

Jesus said “–He who believes and is baptised will be saved ,he who does not believe will be condemned–” **my third spiritual gift test **is do you believe and are baptised?

Jesus said “you are Peter the Rock and on this rock I will build My Church–”**so the fourth spiritual test **is-- do you believe in The One,Holy,Catholic and Apostolic Church founded be Jesus?

Jesus said " whose sins you shall forgive they are forgiven,–" so the fifth spiritual gift test is have you had your sins forgiven in the Sacrament of Confession, by “showing yourselves to a priest”?

Jesus said " I am the bread of life–he who eats My Flesh and drinks my Blood will have life in him–" so the sixth spiritual gift test is Do you go to Mass each Sunday and partake of The Eucharist?

Jesus promised to send us The Holy Spirit, the seventh spiritual gift test is-- Has a Bishop in the Sacrament of Confirmation prayed over you and annointed you with the oil of chrism to receive the gifts of The Holy Spirit-Wisdom,Council,Fortitude,Piety,Knowledge,Fear of The Lord,Understanding.?

Since seven is the perfect number perhaps you can pass these first, before the next test!

Come Holy Spirit,Fill the hearts of the faithful, enkindle them with the fire of your Love!!
Our Lady of The Holy Spirit, pray for us.

Peace and blessings to you all.

Yes, God is above all religions, but if you are truly looking for spiritual gifts than read the Bible, book of Matthew Chapter 16, and you will see your God who is above all religions, did organize His Own religion. And if you are truly digging for the gifts of salvation then research the history of this religion as organized by your God who is above all religions and you will find that it has an unbroken chain leading directly from Pope Benedict XVI to Jesus.
So there is your answer, there is the source of your search of ALL spiritual gifts, it is the One , Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church as formed by Jesus and given to the world for the salvation of ALL souls that we might enter into His heaven and live with Him forever.

Peace and blessings,
That’s awesome its more of what i was looking for than i thought, but unfortunately my parish prayer group is here in Australia.

Some members in our group are very generous and say yes to just about everything that is asked of them.

We were discussing it is not always good to say yes if it is not an area you have been gifted in and it maybe better as a parish to serve people in need by seeking a person with the appropriate gifts.

Of course we recognise at times people in need are seeking people with skills rather than gifts.

I have done some proddy gift tests and found them a real eye opener and one of our prayer group members has gone that way.

I had thought it maybe better we look for one from a Catholic org, given the early post in this thread we may do better to go to the protestants like your self and Yeshua (pbwh) they seem keen to serve people where they are at so The Holy Spirit can do Our Fathers will.

May G-d bless and guide you all, I praise and thank Him for the goodness in all of your intentions behind your posts.

I did the Test but where is the prize! A good type of thing (the parish in Texas) is run by The Paulist society, the founder is now the Servant of God Mgr.Joseph De Piro 1877-1933.The order was founded in 1910 to do missionery work and for the poor.

I must say a lot of the questionaire real deals with natural gifts ,rather than spiritual ones I thought-though grace builds on nature!

Stephen -

Are you looking for tests to see if you are an Exhorter, teacher, prohet, giver, service, leader and such? If you are I am looking for that too. I have been watching a video series that just discribes each of those and leaves us to think about it. I think I might be a teacher and possibly and Exhorter, but I am not sure.

If this is what you are looking for and you find it, please let me know.

Blessings

Here’s one hosted by a Catholic parish in the US. You can take the quiz online, and you will get scores along with suggested ministries where you might use your gifts. Although the ministries are specific to that parish, you can get some ideas from the list.

Thank you, very much for that link. I didn’t see it until AFTER I posted my first post. I thought it was very thorough and informative. Bless you. 👍

The one posted here in this thread is the one we went with at my choosing as it was for the members of a Catholic prayer group.

I found it to be not so spiritual as some of the protestant ones i have completed.

It actually fits more to the reason i was looking PB2G-d.

In my experience the “audit” of the gifts we are given helps us focus and keep within our depth so to speak.

It is good to do many different ones and remarkable how they all reveal much the same about me though the explanations for application of the gifts can vary.

Bless you all

Hi
Just got an email that someone posted on the thread, thanks.
About three years ago,
I got very sick, catholic wife left me.
My religious “friends” all stopped contact because I could no longer work for them free or volunteer in their organisations.
Atheists I had not seen for years started called ng on me when news got around I was crook.
They fed me, did my garden, took me to hospital etc.
I am now not sure G-d exists or cares about me.
I have seen first hand how religious people treat the sick so at least know they ain’t like that last going god I once had great faith in.
Best wishes to you all.
May your lives be loving to others.
