Spiritual reading recommendations?

I have read so much about how we need Our Good God the Holy Spirit so much to be one pleasing to The Holy Trinity, but I know so little about how to actually do it. I will definitely get them! Thank you HolySpirit ( I say this both to you and to Our Good Creator )

Interior Castle by Theresa of Avila. Plus a commentary book by Ruth Burrows , a Carmelite.
If this book is studied in depth, it will help your relationship with God enormously IMO.
Its a great adjunct to the Gospels.
Not everyone’s cuppa tea but definitely mine.

Introduction to Christianity by Joseph Ratzinger. Every Catholic should read it and reread it every few years. It is a lot deeper than an introduction.

Thank for mentioning Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI, whilst he was a Cardinal. What a Holy Soul. The world has no room for this Joseph as they didn’t for the Foster Father of Jesus.

He came with a gift, for all people. As a Cardinal he brought everything. The Nicene Creed which I enjoy more. Again, what a Holy Soul.

I’m not able to read tons because of my ADD but I have read of Ralph Martin’s, “Fullfillment of All Desire” and what others have to say about it, I don’t think I can recommend it highly enough.

I like Ralph Martin. Good people. Good reads.

I know me I love Pope Benedict! I wish we could see more of him. I became quite attached to him ever since I watched World Youth Day as a Teenager on EWTN. We should all pray for Him so he is doing well!

If you wonder where some of the charming stories of Catholicism come from (e.g. St. Christopher carrying the Christ child over the stream; Joseph of Arimetha’s staff blossoming), read The Golden Legend, a much-loved book in the middle ages. Many stories–not necessarily true, though many may be based in fact–are embedded in Catholic culture. It is a very satisfying and lovely read.
