Spiritual refreshment

I didn’t put this in the Prayer Intentions thread for two reasons: This isn’t just about prayer and I personally think that posting the prayers you’re praying, for everyone to see, contradicts Mt. 6, 6.

Anyhow, I need lots of prayers. My soul needs some spiritual refreshment after arguing with spammers and people who refuse to acknowledge the truth of a matter. It’s just…every forum seems to have users who enjoy arguing for argument’s sake and who just can’t get it, even when the facts are presented to them. Not just this forum, either, but another forum that I’m on. Well, another forum I used to be, that is. Forums always seem like a bunch of people are locked in a small room together, and given that situation, fights and bitterness is bound to come out, so I need to steep myself in prayer and in the words of Jesus Christ.

I’m going to go read the Bible. Please pray for me. I’ll pray for you.

Reading Bible is awesome! Give yourself a break from forum. That is what you need.

Also, posting prayers does not contradict Mathew 6 unless your posting is to tell the whole world you know how to pray and that your prayer is better than others. It is the intention of what you do either contradict or not contradict to Mathew 6.

To look at Mathew 6 in a broader way, we should not do anything with pride.

Its good to give yourself a news and politics fast once in a while.

Take a break and remember, other’s have opinions that differ than your own, they may be right and you might be wrong, but the issue is to learn the truth and the best way is to listen, even when you think they are wrong.

In all, place your trust in God and ask Him to protect you from error and to help you discern His truth in everything.

This isn’t a cage match. Calm down. Speak your peace in peace and leave it at that. You do not have to score a take-down. You do not have to make a sale. You do not have to have the last word. You do not have to “win.” Make your case gently and walk away.
