Spiritual values question

Hi!

Okay I have to answer this question for my class

What spiritual values dp Catholics and Protestants hold in common? How do they differ?

I guess I’m confused by the meaning of Spiritual values. Its hard to look up books if I can’t define it ya know

Anyway. Some help would be wonderful

Valid baptism makes them a member of the Mystical Body of Christ, along with us, although imperfectly, since they do not have our fullness of the faith. This is why a convert is generally not rebaptized when they become Catholic.

Both generally believe …

• and profess Jesus as Lord and Savior.
• in the Virgin birth.
• that Jesus died for our sins, rose from the dead, and will come again.
• there will be a resurrection of the body.
• that the Holy Spirit is the gift of the Father and Son who guides us.
• the bible is the inspired Word of God who speaks to us through them.
• there is an evil entity called Satan who tempts us.
• in forgiveness of sin, but Protestants do not have *sacramental *confession.
• in the power of prayer.

That’s a general beginning list off the top of my head. Where the difference lies depends on the denomination. Many do not accept the authority of the Pope, nor do they have all seven sacraments instituted by Christ. There is no apostolic succession through Holy Orders.

hi,

or are you refering to values like charity, love, humility, generosity,patience,etc. people of all faiths may share in these.
hopefully, we as catholics, are setting a good example.
