Spiritual Warfare during dreams?

I’ve often had dreams where demons or an evil force tries to attack me. I try to speak but it is difficult to speak. But often I will say the hail Mary prayer or I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. Both of these prayers work and after some time they will go away or I will wake up. But they are terrible dreams when I do have them. Often I will awake in my dream where I am in my bedroom but something dark wants to attack me and I have to pray to get rid of it. I don’t do any occult etc. I am a strong Catholic, at least I hope so. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
Yes, recently happening to me also. I talked to my Priest about it and said the devil is having retribution for coming back to the Catholic Church in the last two months. It gotten so bad my kid got a bad asthma attach at mass this last Sunday for Fathers day, and we had to leave it to get her meds.
 
Yeah, i can see where you would be attacked if you are just returning to the Church. Keep on going sounds like your doing the right thing!
 
Thanks. Then yesterday I got my daughter to read her first Bible, from the Book of St. John 1, then afterwards, crows starting going crazy outside our house for two hours. It was like a movie. My wife, child and I held hands and we prayed a spiritual warfare prayer.

I have noticed for me that whenever I am trying to really get particularly close to our Lord in some way, that is when I will have more experiences like yours too, during my sleep.

I’ll have demonic-type nightmares, where I’m being attacked in my dreams.

I’ll ask for the intercession/intervention of my Guardian Angel, and he’ll come and help in my sleep.

I’ll also pray in my dream, and that will stop whatever is happening to me, too.
 
Usually you can control pretty much everything in lucid dreams unless the dreams are actually spiritual in nature.

Involvement in the Occult (i.e. “hidden powers”) will result in actual spiritual harm in the form of sin or neglect, even if accompanied by bodily harm. For example, my parish priest did work in Ciudad Juarez , which occasionally included ailments from demonic forces.

An innocent person can still rarely be affected by demonic attacks (St Padre Pio was famous for this) but it only becomes actual harm if sin is involved.

I usually don’t have dreams like these, but when I do, I wake up rejoicing because to me it means that I serve the Lord with my whole being. In my heart I love him when I am awake, and in my Spirit, too, I love Him even in my sleep. It’s a confirmation to me that I am fully His.

I have had some dreams where it at least appeared that some kind of hostile spiritual action took place. During the dream I used Spiritual warfare techniques and was successful in fending off the attack and woke up.

Was it a real attack or just a dream? Who knows. As long as it isn’t too often I wouldn’t worry too much about it. If it becomes re-occurring I would speak with my priest about it.
 
Yes talk to your priest even in confession, as then the father of lies will know he’s been outed 😉 . Also remember to pray to your guardian angel before sleep to help, he’s always able and willing to assist. And you can probably get Holy water at your parish to sprinkle on you and your bed before sleep. Also remember how powerful the sign of the cross is. A priest I had confession with told me to remain calm and read scriptures and pray until it passes, with special emphasis on remaining calm. Personally, telling the priest in confession or even just going and asking my priest to pray for me helped immensely or in later times, just praying to Mary and reading Psalms. It has happened to me, when I was deciding on a vocation, very frightening. Not exactly as you say, but a little like that. Fr Mike had a video on youtube about it, I’ll looks see if I can find it.

Usually when I have these attacks I say I rebuke you in the name of Jesus or a hail Mary, i might have to say it a few times but it eventually works, i wake up or they go away.
 
Yes, I’ve had some similar experiences at night. It helps to say the name of Jesus out loud many times, as confidently as you can. It also helps to say Hail Marys. I’ve found these to be most effective. Continue through with your rosary if you can stay awake.
 
I forget his name, but the popular former Satanic Priest turned Catholic said he used holy water successfully to end nightmares. He made a cross over the ears nose mouth and throat, but I just do a few on the forehead and one like you would do in church. I keep the bottle on my table when I sleep, and in my pocket usually when I go out.

If using the Name of Jesus banishes a spiritual attack, then that is evidence enough that an evil spirit was behind it.

According to the catholic saints, priests, those in the deliverance ministry, and exorcists:

If you cannot speak, from fear, keep repeating in your thoughts: ‘Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,’
And the evil spirit MUST LEAVE immediately.
The bible says: ‘The Apostles came back to Jesus saying: ‘Lord the demons leave when we SAY YOUR NAME.’

So just say Jesus Name in your thoughts, and then if you can whisper Jesus Name or say it aloud.
This works for dreams or sleep paralysis.
I wake up immediately in such dreams when I say Jesus Name in my thoughts. Sometimes I pray: ‘In the Name of Jesus I am waking up now.’ And the dream ends peacefully and I awake in peace.
The two people I know of use the Name of Jesus during a spiritual attack or dream, and they wake up immediately in peace.

A powerful prayer is:
‘In the Name of Jesus, all evil spirits are now powerless against me and I command them to leave me now and never return.’

Get a bottle of holy water. Before you go to sleep, sprinkle a drop in your room (holy water has exorcism prayers on it). Saint Theresa of Avila used to get attacks from satan, and sleep paralysis attack also, until she started using holy water. She said the demons are terrified of holy water, they flee from the exorcism prayers that have been said on holy water.

Wear a blessed miraculous medal and blessed brown scapular at night (and during the day).

Have a blessed rosary beads in your pocket always (or under your pillow also).

You will find the attacks will completely stop happening anymore just from using the Name Jesus, because you now have spiritual weapons and the demons will not go into a fight that they will lose. They are afraid of those who use Jesus authority.

Pray to God to reveal why this spiritual attack happened.

**I do know an exorcist in the Philipinnes warned that there are plastic cord rosaries being distributed since the 1970s to now, that have a snake on the crucifix and also an Illuminati evil eye on the top of the crucifix, and he has warned any catholics who have these, To BIN THEM, because they are cursed by an occult group who then sell them to catholic stores to curse catholics who buy them, **

Many people who had such rosary beads ended up with spiritual nightmares and spiritual attacks at night,

This is just so evil, for someone to even think of doing this.
You would never even think to look for this on a Rosary, you know, unless someone would bring it to your attention.
 
That’s pretty scary, they could grab your pendant’s chain and pull you in. I would just hold the Rosary and do stuff.

Yeah I also saw this. I’m FIlipino too, and 99% of the population being Catholic, I can see where a sweet old grandmother wants to buy herself a new Rosary and she ends up with those cursed ones.
