I wrote earlier that when everyone gets to do his own thing, which is the norm in our modern society, chaos reigns. There has to be a center, a place where the buck stops, on what are the truths and structures of faith in Jesus. Jesus left the Catholic Church headed by Peter and his successors for just that reason. Any other unity which would include all the different denoms and world religions would be a false unity. Jesus Christ never intended for that kind of unity, maybe discribable as the “you’re allright, I’m allright kind of unity” to happen .
It is fortuitous that in western society we now tolerate this chaos, while in the eastern countries such freedom seldom prevails, someone other than the Catholic Church is calling the tune and you had better dance or else. Never the less as Catholics we still try to lead and convince people that the whole and genuine truth exists only in the Catholic Church. Anyone else has only a part of the pie and is out of union with the Church founded by Jesus and which is still guided and preserved by the Holy Spirit.
