On the dvd I mentioned in a previous post, ‘Messages from Heaven’ , there was video of a Cardinal proclaming a statue a of a black woman The black madonna Queen of Poland. Again no cross or mention of Jesus. Millions of catholics go to apparition sights in Medjugorje, millions go to Guadalupe every year. Women approach the shrines on their bloody knees in order to venerate the statue.
There are weeping statues and apparitions in every state in the US and many countries around the world. The church only sanctions a few but all these supernatural occurences are similar. They all involve a woman who asks people to pray.
Sometimes the woman is holding a live baby.
Who can this baby be?
I know Jesus is a man who sits at the right hand of the Father. Who is the baby?
Is it within the realm of possibility that the baby in the apparition is a false Christ?

Which Apparition is this? I also like to state that the not all apparitions are approved by the Church.

I think you can now be perfectly invited to join back to the other thread where it was splitted up - your question has been asked and discussed. See post #543 and forwards. That will save both of us time. 😃

Hey Manny, nice to hear from you.
It seems that many of the things that I bring up are not officially sanctioned by the Church.
I have witnessed all these things that I mention. I see devout catholics doing all kinds of things that have no biblical foundation whatsoever. As a matter of fact I’ve DONE most of these things while I was a catholic. It is what I was taught to do. I have buried statues of ST Joseph in the ground upside down in order to sell my houses. I’ve done it 5 times. As soon as the house sold, I used to dig up the stautue and put it on the mantle in the new house. People would ask about the statue and I would say “St Joseph helped me sell my house.” I realized I was giving the glory to a plastic statue of St Joseph instead of God. Since I became born again and read the Word every day, I don’t mess around with statues anymore.

I have Divine Mercy Image of Jesus in my wallet. He is the only one there. I don’t think there is anything wrong with having statues as long as they are worship like God. Catholics only venerate the Saints. I also have pictures of my brothers in my wallet.

The statues are in the Catholic homes because it reminds the faithful of those who died in Christ and are in heaven. I respect the Saints and give them honor due to them, but I do not give them the style of worship I do with Jesus.

I ask Saints to pray for me; nothing more. I don’t ask them for grace, I ask Jesus for that.

Manny you check out that dvd.
There is video of the pope and cardinals proclaming mary co-redemptrix. The black madonna of poland any many others you can actually see the ceremonies with the cardinals bishops and the pope. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.

I did check that and I don’t think that accurately portray the Catholic Church.

Like I said before, the Pope did not officially make an infallible statement of Mary as the Co-redemptrix. He may have said it in his speech but its not in the Church teachings, or in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

I run a check on Co-redemptrix in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and it could not locate it.

So like I said, its not officially taught.

Sound like superstitious to me. The problem I see through your posts here is that somebody taught you the wrong thing and that explains why you seem to know very little about Catholic faith.

If you had been taught or at least told the way Mannyfit75 and others’ responses, I would be very confident you would’ve come to understand what Catholic faith actually is.

Water,
I went to catholic school, my father was a professor in a catholic university. I personally know many priests and have spoken at length with them many times. I wasn’t taught catholic tradition by one misinformed person. These traditions are common catholic beliefs. I only rejected them when I learned that they have no biblical foundation.

Let me know where you got the idea of burying the statue of St. Joseph before selling a house.

These tradition have been a part of Jesus Christ’s Church for over 2,000 yrs.

Since Scripture is your issue.

I’ll give you another site that gives a Scripture Defense of the Catholic Church teachings;

A priest told me if a catholic tradition is opposed to something in the bible, the tradition wins out. Catholic tradition is more important than the Word of God. Doesn’t that seem odd to you. When I was in Catholic school they taught me all about evolution and said that the creation account in Genesis was just a story. Where do you stand on this topic?

Go to any catholic book store and you can buy the statue in a box with INSTRUCTIONS on what to do. I’m pretty sure I also saw the statues in some of those giant
cathedrals in Rome when I was there.

I hope you could answer the question about burying the statue - if you happen to have such information in book on how bury a statue to sell house, I like to buy one and read it myself. 😃

also, you could help us give the name of the priest, the Catholic school you went to, I would love to give them a call to find out myself about their teaching.

Manny’
That scripture sight has a picture of Jesus and
mary side by side, like they are equal. Do you think Mary is equal with our Savior Jesus?
Come on man!

You are avoiding my question, and I’ve been noticing that your replies have been in all kind of direction. 🙂

Oh, my bad, you were replying to Many.

Anyhow, are you wearing anything related to Jesus on your neck?

No they are not equal.

Let me put it this way. We know the Father is the head of the household, and in our house there is a picture of your Father and Mother in the living room.

Does it make the Mother equal to the Father? No. The Father is the head of the household.

The image of Jesus and Mary being side by side doesn’t mean that Mary is equal to Jesus. Mary is a creature who is a servant of God, and have been obedient to God’s commandments all her life.

She even said yes, and became the Mother of Our Lord.

Water I’m not lying. I’m a Christian. I went to school in the 70’s. St. Clairs school Rosedale NY. Dad, St Johns University Jamaica NY.
Go to any catholic bookstore for the statue.
Better yet, post a question on this sight about St Joseph statues. You’ll get plenty of answers.
