Sometimes you just have to go on and share the Word of God with someone else who has an open heart and a better understanding of God’s Word. It doesn’t say much of the Catholic Church when you have someone like Central James representing their catholic faith. We just have to remember that they are not arguing with you but with God.
I disagree. His postings regarding the Catholic faith have presented themself as factual, biblically supported and mildly entertaining.

James, I have to say reading your posts sometimes leaves me in awe. Your ability to grasp the English vanacular and use it in a quick witted yet serious and factually based context is amazing. Are you friends with Dennis Miller? haha
Well thanks Lux - No, I don’t know Dennis Miller personally.

I am considering modifying my style but I purposely try to provoke common sense and keep people engaged at an emotional level as well as an objective level. Free entertainment and adrenaline keeps em coming back. Pure objectivity just leads to boredom and loss of interest and no one changes or considers anything new. But when a person can also be engaged at an emotional level there is an opportunity to hold attention and push past the walls that obstinate people hide their true selves behind. I believe that a certain stress and stress adaption is needed to effect change and growth.

I would not push as hard as I do unless I was absolutely certain of the truth. So its a tough love approach - triage really. I probably don’t get personal credit for too many converts but I see my role as “softening up” and “casting plausible doubt” on obstinate views; views that don’t hold up to common sense or logic. I leave it to the follow up apologists who are more talented with the delicate tension between charity and reason to do the finishing works. As for me I just like to knock down shields and push the heavily armored off their high horses to earth. I trust that in the wake of breaching the lines that the light infantry and the holy monks can then club the dismounted over the head with a lighter mace of reason or exorcise the more demonically possessed and obsessed with holy water. 😃

Someone has to draw out the polemicists and anti-Catholics to take the hits so the rest of you guys can stay shiny and out of the fray. Besides, the way I figure it I still have a lot of penance from my prior life to catch up on now that the Protesants won’t let me buy my way to heaven… 😃

Translation: Central James brought up points that I cannot refute. Rather than admit this, I will simply start ignoring him, and hope he goes away.

Shame on you. I for one agree with Central James on many points. He like many here are called to envangelize and promote Catholicism. We are here to teach the Catholic faith. We aren’t hear to debunk and antagonize Protestantism. And you ppasa316 I say this in a respectful way, because of the way you have treated Catholics. If I did the same thing to Protestants I would hope some say this towards me. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
