Split Second Thought

I thought for a split second that Jesus was possessed. I have no idea why I thought that. It was just for a split second, and then I immediately said that he wasn’t. Would God forgive that, or is it too late for me?

Please get help from your pastor both with intrusive and irrational thoughts that are a sign of something deeper, and also with the irrational thought that it would be “too late” for you in any circumstance.

Brief passing thoughts of any kinds, to which one does not consent with full knowledge of their immorality and full deliberation, are never mortal sins. It is part of the fallen human condition to sometimes have stray passing thoughts that are disordered.
