I found two Catholic organizations that offer child sponsorship programs. One of them also offers sponsorships for youths (i.e. helping teenagers pay for school) and the elderly (many countries don’t offer the elderly social security benefits, so they rely on sponsorships for basic necessities).

The Christian Foundation for Children and Aging offers sponsorships for children, youths, and the elderly.

Chalice is a Canadian Catholic organization that offers sponsorships for children.

May God bless everyone!🙂

I have sponsored a few children through CFCA for about 6 years- the organization seems to do a good job helping the children and the elderly.

We have sponsored a little boy in Mexico for many years through CFCA. We like CFCA.

One of our sons got to travel to Mexico to meet our sponsored child and his grandmother.

Mr. Bob Hentzen, one of the founders was on this trip in Mexico as well. He invited my son to come with him on his Walk2Gather through South America. walk2gether.org/

Years ago, Mr. Bob had walked from the CFCA Headquarters in Kansas City to Guatemala where he made his new home. His Walk2Gather was a walk through South America from his home in Guatemala ending in Chile. My son walked with Mr. Bob and the poor people serve by CFCA in Ecuador.

Mr. Bob died Oct. 8, 2013. (1936-2013)

Eternal rest grant unto Mr. Bob, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Here’s one more organization that offers child sponsorship:

Caritas for Children (affiliated with Caritas in Veritate, not Caritas Internationalis)

*Also, Children Foundation for Children & Aging is changing its name to “Unbound”.

We have sponsored through CFCA (now called “Unbound”)
There is an organization that helps children and youth in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world. Excellent organization, very low overhead, $150/year provides a child with all their basic needs,$29/year covers room, board and tuition.

the founder is from Burundi.
