I’m 50 and the organist at our late morning Sunday mass.

The little “choir” that sings (about 10 people) are all young enough to be my children, about half are teenagers, and we just had two little girls join who are both in elementary school (beautiful voices!).

The babies in the congregation hold “conversations” with each other throughout the mass, and we have toddlers, and pre-teens, and teens, and every age up through and including the very elderly. We have a strong home-schooling community in my parish, and a small parish school (fewer than 200 students) as well.

When I have opportunity to go to the 8:00 am daily mass, there are always a range of ages from infants to pre-teen to teen to young adult to middle aged to seniors to very old. Most of our home-schooling kids go to daily mass with their moms. 😃

We have a unique, faithful, and beautiful community – may God continue to bless and increase our members! ❤️

as you look forward to peace offering time? 🙂
Haha, not really. I’m not a guy to try and pull something off during peace or any time during Mass. That would be irreverent and turn Church time into dating time which I’m not a big fan of either. It would have to be after and I can offer to buy her a doughnut and stay for some coffee.

I try to avoid making a big deal out of the peace offering time.

Same here.
However I know I must so I do.

Now if I only can be as conscientious about getting my exercise.

Sigh 😔

A sixteen year old altar server at a parish I used to attend, has used the preponderance of senior citizens to grow his own IT business, using his knowledge of computers 🖥️ and other things tech to setup systems for the elderly. They pay him good money too. He tells them he’s saving up for his college fund.

Now that is one enterprising young man.

The only group that seems to be missing are the teenagers. I see children and young adults with their children, lots of old people.

Noice! I’m also already saving for university but I haven’t done anything like that now he’s a great thinker!

We have a “baby pram race” in the hallways in my parish. The 11am Sunday Mass is well beyond packed and if the fire guys pay us a visit then… There are several who would like a shorter Mass suitable for families with younger children so I think that would be a very good idea to introduce.

Older teenagers and young adults are fewer than they should be.

a few other teens and myself try to make it to Daily Mass at my parish during the summers… on a good day, there’s maybe 1/2 dozen of us…
