Spread of Islam?

Is the spread of Islam something that Catholics should be fearful of, particularly those living in European states? It seems like Catholicism is compatible with all other religions, yet Islam is not compatible with Christianity. While the vast majority of Muslims do not commit acts of violence, the minority that do cause enough fear to gain converts and destroy faith in Christian communities.

How do we battle what should naturally be deemed a threat?

When I think of all the stuff that the early Catholics went through for the first 3 centuries of Christian history and their faith held strong, I don’t worry much about all this. I just pray that God will help us all always be as faithful.

You can’t battle a lie. You can only expose it to the truth.

By being a part of these forums, I think you’re doing something to support the truth.

We need to use the weapons of the faith that we’ve been given. Prayer, sacrifice and good works. We can try to bring the truth of Christ to Muslims also.

I think we should be concerned about the spread of Islam – not afraid, but we should pray that the Catholic Faith will spread even farther and more quickly.
