SPY CHIPS the Mark of the Beast?

There is a catholic man (who’s name I forgot ) that claims
to get messages from Jesus about the end of the world
and that these new spy-chips coming out, is the Mark of the
Beast, what say you.spychips.com/
 
As charitably and as kindly as possible I would say that your friend has some mental health issues that need to be dealt with. My advice…listen to him as politely as possible. If you think he needs help you may want to tell one of his family members. But as far as taking this gentleman seriously…just be polite.

He is not a personal friend, he has a web site, but lost it.
 
As far as I’ve been able to determine, only fundalmentalists and complete literalists (except for Chapter 6 of St. John, of course :rolleyes: )buy into that “chips” & “mark of the beast 666” stuff. The same ones who are always talking of getting “raptured”.
None of this is Catholic belief.

it’s interesting you mention that. I came up with that idea before I had ever heard of Fr. Larry Richards.

In Revelations where it talks about the number of the beast being the number of a man, the word used for man is Anthropos which means “Mankind or Humankind”.

The context of that becomes “It is number of Mankind”

And that mankind is those that have denied Christ and the Eucharist…
