There are certain ‘somebodies’ that do ‘some things’ that indelibly mar my life and also those I call fellow Christians. These certain people even hold sway as to how we form our words into public thoughts…even today.
Last evening I went to a beautiful and peaceful Easter Vigil Mass which included prayer petitions for these non Christians. My prayer for those certain ‘somebodies’ that did ‘somethings’ to so many Faithful Easter Sunday morning stands.

The Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, called on Sri Lanka’s government to launch a “very impartial strong inquiry” and to punish those found responsible “mercilessly because only animals can behave like that.”

Death toll over 200 and still rising.

The good Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said that and more in regards to the killing.

Security and surveillance at places of worship are increased. I hate to live in this escalation of violence and threat of violence. Recalling the day when my local church was never locked. Anyone could go and pray with the Holy Presence day or night.

You know, St. Thomas the Apostle went to India to evangelize.

Understand this, Sri Lanka has not one but two different St. Thomas Universities.

One is St. Thomas International College:

The other seems to be St. Thomas Mt. Lavinia, this college is a very traditional looking school.

I thought I heard these colleges mentioned in some story but hopefully, they did not get hit.

Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, I think I posted it in another thread but a St. Thomas Aquinas college website also had a message of His on this incident.

I think I posted an excerpt in one of the threads on this in World News, the last I checked, there were about 3 different threads on this tragedy. Maybe they have been merged. Just saying in case, anyone is interested.

It certainly is frustrating that there are reports they had intelligence of something possibly happening.
