What are the qualifications that are required in order to be baptized by a SSPX Priest? Do they have some form of RCIA they want you to partake in for 8 months? There’s a small SSPX chapel here, and I don’t think they offer classes like that.

I did my catechism classes one-on-one with an SSPX Priest for one hour each week. It took about three months before I was conditionally re-baptized.

same here in my case, i did one on one catechism with 3 different priests in the year, (they all got transferred) then on my day of becoming a catholic, i had a Conditional Baptism (ex Anglican) just in case… but to answer your question, anybody can baptise someone; as long as they use the correct form and matter, it is licit.

We are having a problem in one of our churches in Brisbane where a Catholic priest is marrying (or uniting) Gay couples etc, but also baptising not using correct form or matter. 😦 😦
