I think it is a lesson to us in the middle that we not stay in the middle, just because that is where we are the most comfortable. We must always remember to be loyal to our Church even if the day comes when it goes in a direction we do not “like”.

It is reported that Bishop Fellay of the SSPX will meet with Pope Benedict XVI on August 29. I hope that this will be a productive meeting with good results for the Church.

RyanL:
So you know…“More Catholic than the Pope” is actually the title of a Pat Madrid book, which covers this topic.

God Bless,
RyanL
Im interested! Has anyone read that book, is it worth buying?

Litterally in french it’s also a very popular expression that means exagerating in the way of vertue.
in the usa, it is also, and i suspect amongst all english speaking people. i’'ll have to investigate if it means the same thing in spanish…

I have. Look at post #13.

Thanks.

One other question I have is the “Ecclisia Dei” Letter. From what I know that reads something like “Church of God” or something? Is that what that single letter is called or is that just a name put on different letters? It just seems like a waste of a good title on such a “small” issue.

Actually, it is very short and straightforward if the following is what you are refering to:
Ecclesia Dei
The above is the letter of excommunication of Lefebvre and the ones he made Bishops.

Ecclesia Dei also refers to the Pontifical Commission established after the Lefebvre schism. Here is some information on the commisssion:
Pontifical Commission “Ecclesia Dei”

I hope this helps.
