Hmmm. What exactly is wrong with turning back the clock? Wasn’t the restoration of three Eucharistic Prayers back in 1969 “turning back the clock” to the early Church?
I thought too that the reason why we ditched the Trent Mass was to go back to the type of agape feast of the early Christians in the catacombs.

If that was indeed the intention then it really didn’t work out too well.

They dissent from the Church’s teaching about the nature of the Church itself; the roles of the papacy and bishops, especially.
Could you flesh that out just a bit?. Maybe provide some examples or documentation.

What you are saying would not be accurate to apply to the “laity” who attend. That might be an individuals position but it is not fair to categorize them all that way. Actually it is not even fair to the clergy 3 of whom are Bishops. The role of the Papacy is actually quite agreed upon in the SSPX, in fact maybe that is part of the problem. Some may view the Papacy as too weak. The SSPX members I have met wish for a more powerful papacy.

They should be careful what they wish for.😉
