Sorry, but I am not! I did not say that laypeople were canonically irregular, but that they were not in full communion with the Churchif they adhered to the schismatic mentality or position of the SSPX. This is said by Pope John Paul II in his motu proprio

The ‘accusations’ of schism did not begin with Rome -
it was their accusations of schism against the Holy Father and the Church - at the time of the sanctions against them, prior to the illicit consecration of the four bishops.

again, 26 years later.
