I got a crucifix that has the St. Benedict Jubilee medal like, in the cross behind Jesus’ head. I’m going to go get it blessed soon and i was wondering if, when i get it blessed, it would have the same,um,"uses"maybe (not sure if that would be a good word) as the normal St.Benedict Jubilee medal. Does that fact that it is in a crucifix matter? Thankyou.

the jubilee medal has a special blessing attached to it which includes and exorcism. Any priest can bless it, and the blessing is in the Book of Blessings, and the medal embedded in a crucifix, or with a rosary, or in any other form can be blessed with the same blessing and carries the same graces.

No, having the medal in the cross is just the same as having it by itself. (except it’s in a cross:D )

I have a St. Benedict Crucifix and the medallion on the back fell out, does this make my Crucifix less spirtually powerful?

Beautiful. I also have one in my bedroom, one on my rosary, and a big one in my work-place’s office.

What is the significance of this medal? I have two of them, and it seems to be quite important in our church…

Anyone?
