St. Benedict Press quality

I was wondering, how are the Bibles printed by St. Benedict Press?

I own a Douay-Rheims by Baronius Press and I was disappointed a little with the quality.

While on CatholicCompany.com, I noticed St Benedict Press is releasing their own Douay-Rheims soon

I know they also print the New American Bible. Does anyone own this edition of the NAB? How’s the quality?

Does anyone know if there is a high quality leather version of the DR available?

Well St. Benedict Press acquired Tan books. So I imagine the quality would be decent.

I note that this publication will be a red letter edition. ie Christ’s words in red. Given that I have seen considerable derision on these forums for Protestant bibles doing this, I wonder what your views are on this in the new printing.

It depends how red. If its bright red, then no. I’ll pass. However, if its a nice dark red like Cambridge University Press, I’ll consider it.

It isn’t just the Protestants who use the red letter edition, I have a 1950 Catholic Family Bible (D-R/Confraternity translation) that is a red letter edition, I also have a NAB Bible that is a red letter edition.
