St. Casimir (1458-1484) was a Prince of the Kingdom of Poland.
He was the son of King Casimir IV.
Prince Casimir wrote the hymn Daily, Daily Sing to Mary.

Chicago, Baltimore, Lowell Mass, St. Paul, Minn, Posen, MI., Cleveland, Yonkers, Hammond, Lansing, Newark, Krakow, WI, Buffalo, are just some of the places with churches named after St. Casimir.
Many have closed (Kenosha, WI) or been renamed (Milwaukee, WI)

St. Casimir is also the patron saint of Lithuania. In fact, his body is interred in the cathedral of Vilnius.

I attended St. Casimir in Chicago K-8.

The parish is no longer called St. Casimir.
