Dear Brothers and Sisters,
  1. Oh, of only the suffering soul knew how it is loved by God, it would die of joy and excess of happiness! Someday, we will know the value of suffering, but then we will no longer be able to suffer. The present moment is ours.
When I read this entry today, I was blessed within, knowing the utter truth of what St. Faustina wrote! I hope it blesses you to know ever more deeply: God loved us so much, He spared not even His only Son, but gave Him to suffer for our sake. By His Grace let us offer all our sufferings in union with the Passion and Death of Christ and live His Resurrected Life forever.

Come Holy Spirit, help us to know the value of suffering; conform us to the Image of Christ.
Jesus, we trust in You.
Mother of Mercy, pray for us.
St. Faustina, pray for us.

Thank you for posting this! I really needed to read this. :hugs:

If only the people celebrating the California euthanasia law that went into effect today understood this.

Dear MW, Convert and Nelka,

Thank you all for your replies. We all need to keep reminding ourselves: All are called to holiness and in that call is found the value of suffering. We cannot forget that we follow in the blood-stained footprints of Jesus. Easter follows after Good Friday.

Please let us pray for one another, and for all those in most need of His Mercy.
Jesus, we trust in You!
Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us.
St. Faustina, pray
