St. Faustina Kowalska and her visions and conversations with Christ

So, I know the Vatican had some problems with her visions. They thought they were not compatible with Catholic theology and that’s why the Divine Mercy devotion was banned in 1958. Later under pope JP2 the Church changed her mind on this topic and she became a saint.

Does the Church still have some problems with the visions recorded in her diary? Can we trust her claims? What’s the position of the Church on this? Thanks.
 
As I understand it, the translation was faulty. When this was corrected, the pope gave permission to read it with no further hesitation. He is the one who became her devotee, and followed her instructions from Jesus to institute the second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday. THAT says a LOT. 😉
 
They are private revelations, we are not bound to them. What God revealed to the Saint is between St Faustina and God.
 
I know a lot of people who read her book (diary), and who say the Mercy Chaplet, including myself.

I believe it is a wonderful devotion for our times.

It was a privilege for me to be at the bedside of a lady with her dying son, when she, me, and another friend recited the Mercy Chaplet aloud for him. He had already had the Anointing prior to that and he died a few hours later.
 
I pray it daily, too, Dorothy, especially at 3 PM. It is a wonderful blessing that Jesus has given us through St. Faustina. Her Diary has been a special source of inspiration to me as I meditated upon her many words from Our Lord Jesus.
 
Because I usually wake up in the middle of the night (senior citizen syndrome),I get to say it at 3 AM.
