Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Sister Faustina wrote in her Diary - Divine Mercy in My Soul:
O my God, I am conscious of my mission in the Holy Church. It is my constant endeavor to plead for mercy for the world. I unite myself closely with Jesus and stand before Him as an atoning sacrifice on behalf of the world…(paragraph 482)
I was struck by the similarity of her mission to our “mission” at every Mass, and our continuing that “mission” after Mass – being sent forth carrying Him into the world. How God desires us to be more conscious of our mission to remain in Christ – to be one with Him in His Mission!

At every Mass we are truly present at Calvary. It is the same Sacrifice; the Priest is the Same and the Victim is the Same, only the manner of offering is an unbloody manner. By grace we are enabled to offer ourselves with Mary as she gave herself, united to Jesus on the Cross. She did not die physically on Calvary as He did but she willingly united herself with His sacrifice of Himself for the salvation of all. Only God could redeem us, and yet He offers us a share in His Mission – that by His Grace, we might help others return to our Eternal Home, along with us.

St. Faustina, pray for us.
Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.
Jesus, I trust in You!
