What did this quote come from?

Everyone of us needs half an hour of prayer every day, except when we are busy—then we need an hour. -St. Francis de Sales

What does this quote mean?

Reminds me of St Ignatius’ idea of Agere Contra, or 'acting against." If we’re too busy to “squeeze in” 30 minutes with God, our priorities are out of order, so it would be helpful to actually force some things out of our lives by setting aside even more time with Him. I’m always amazed when I’m forced to let some things go till later how much less important they were than I was making them.

I am reminded of Mother Theresa when her Sisters were complaining of spending time in Adoration. She told them to double the time.

Thanks everyone for their thoughts. All of the above posts makes sense.
