St. Francis of Assisi Holy Card

I want to buy some holy cards with St. Francis of Assisi peace prayer. My problem is all the holy cards I can find have this wimpy portrait of St. Francis with birds etc. St. Francis must’ve been a strong man mostly helping other people, not birds. Are there any of his holy cards portraying St. Francis of Assisi helping people???

You might want to read some Murray Bodo’s books on Francis.

Saint Francis was amazing. I couldn’t do half of what he did. The more I read about him, the more I love him. As I read about him I keep saying, “Amen, brother Francis” or “Right on brother Francis!”

I like the images with the birds and/or animals. To me it represents that God gave him the gift of speaking to animals, who listened to him. It also shows his love and gentleness of heart, which in no way should be interpreted as weakness. However, as the person whom I quoted said, there are many different images of him. He’s usually standing on a skull, representing sister bodily death, which he certainly didn’t fear.
