St. Francis on the HIll leaves Episcopal Church

Several years ago, their pastor left the church and converted to
the Catholic Church. He and his family left El Paso but I under-
stand he was assisting a Catholic parish as a priest.
Now apparently the whole church is leaving, but doesn’t say
what they are going to do. The other church mentioned be-
came associated with a more conservative Episcopal
branch.
Maybe some members will come home.

Where will they go? Not much on the website to tell us. But they have a female Deacon, Daphne Orgeron. If she is “ordained” they are limited from joining many of the traditional groups. If she is not ordained, different story. Since she is wearing a collar, I fear she maybe ordained.

The AMiA may take them, if they wanted to go, as they may grandfather her in as a deacon as they have some female priests. This could be done even though the AMiA is supposed to have suspended female ordination to even the dicaonate a couple of years ago.

WO is the 800 pound gorilla in the room that has to address by the new providence. Ok there are a couple of other gorillas in the room…

None of that matters. They will most likely join a primate of the Anglican church as we did when we left TEC. Not one of our parishoiners ever hinted toward wishing to join Rome, thank God!
