He was a pagan who put on plays mocking christianity.He pretended he was interested in the faith, and infiltrated the christian community.
Through his research and study and no doubt the example of the believers, he began to be open to the Lord.
During his final play he had a conversion experience on stage, and proclaimed his faith in Christ, this was in front of the Emperor Diocletian. When they realised that Genesius was serious he was martyred.
