As my first offical request for help on the returned forums, I need some help finding something by St. Jerome. (Either for purchase or download with a reliable source)

I am looking for his commentaries on the prophets of the Old Testament. New Advent gave me a hint as to where to find them, but I don’t know what it means.

“St. Jerome’s complete works can be found in P.L., XXII-XXX.”

(oh, and somewhere with both English and Latin would be prefered, but just English is fine)

Any takers? I’m googled out.

Good question, I have seen references to “P.L.” on newadvent articles and I wish I knew what it meant.

P.L. stands for Patrologia Latina, a collection, in 217 volumes, of Christian Church Fathers in the Latin language by Jacques-Paul Migne, published between 1844 and 1855. source

Similarly, P.G. stands for Patrologia Graeca, a collection, in 161 volumes, of Christian Church Fathers in the Greek language edited by Jacques-Paul Migne, published between 1857-1866. source
