I know all about him…BUT I don’t know what he is patron of…I.E. St Francis of Assisi is who you can ask to interseed about animals.
Can ANYONE please help me ???:confused:
 
It is my understanding, not all saints become patron saints. Someone with more knowledge, please correct me if I’m wrong.

St John Ogilvie is the only post-Reformation saint from Scotland.

I was 46 years old when I converted. Why is it, we get smarter as we get older? :confused:
 
If I remember rightly he’s an ancestor of Ian Ogilvie who played Simon Templer, the Saint, in the 1970’s.

There are no patronages of Saint John Ogilvie in the general sense such as Holy Michael the Archangel being patron of paramedics, Saint Thomas Aquinas being patron of students and Saint Thérèse being patron of missionaries, etc.

Saint John’s patronages cover numerous parishes throughout Scotland and the world. This is similar to a town or city’s patron saint. For instance Saint Mungo—a predecessor of Saint John Ogilvie in the Faith—is the patron saint of the city of Glasgow. The parish patronage is similar to this but on a smaller scale.

He can become your special patron if you ask him.
