St Joseph Daily Missal '52 or '53?

I have a St Joseph’s Daily Missal, copywrited 1950-1951-1952, from CBPC, NY, with Imprimatur from Cardinal Spelling. I’ve been looking to buy a new copy, but every one I’ve found calls it the “1953 edition”. If it was printed in '52, why is it called '53?
