St. Joseph Prayer Promises

Someone recently told me that the promises associated with the St. Joseph prayer are not supported by the Church. The promises include protection from drowning, poison, and burning to death.

Does the Church have an official statement on this?

Also, is the Brown Scapular officially supported by the Church?

Don’t know about the St. Joseph question, but The Brown Scapular is highly supported by The Church…I am a member of the confraternity myself. I have become a better Catholic because of my enrollment into The Brown Scapular…I highly recommend you getting enrolled if you have the opportunity. “To Jesus through Mary”.
