Okay I wrote a poem about the Consecration but I dont know if I should share it

I NEVER write poetry (okay sometimes…lol) and I wonder if God would want me to share it with others or not. hmm…because one day, it just came to me randomly

I guess…if anyone would like to read another person’s perspective on the Consecration, let me know 🙂

haha… it’s a personal subject matter which is why I don’t openly share it with just anyone, but I think people who also love Mary would understand 😃

does anyone here write as well? 🙂

I would be very interesed in your poetry, especially as it will be from “some one who has been there’s” perspective. I vow to treat it with all the tenderness and thoughtfulness I’m sure you put into it. I would value your insight. If you’re unsure and/or shy I understand. It doesn’t need to be today anyway, Maybe you’ll REALLY want to share it on Jan 1st.! 🙂 No, I don’t write much, but I am enjoying writting my thoughts and feelings as I read the different suggested readings.

I, too, like to write and have written a few poems and one short, short story, and some descriptions of events that I have been through now and then.

If it is okay with you I would like to read your poem. I have a short one that I have written about Our Blessed Mother that I can share with you in return. Anyone else who wants to read it is welcome to also. Just pm me.

I just Consecrated myself this morning. I couldn’t believe all the “tricks” that were happening! As I’m settling in for Mass and my special Communion, a friend asks for a ride home! I had to work hard on focusing since I was worried about her and about being able to do my Consecration in front of Jesus (Adoration). I had a terrible time consentrating!. A bunch of people wanted to talk - I felt like a salmon swimming up stream to get to Jesus! My problem now, I just feel flat, like why did I go thru all the 33 days of work?🤷 So, I’m going to reread True Devotion to Mary to help inspire me. I feel like I must have done something wrong since I feel so rotten.
Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated!🙂

Dear “consecrated one”,

Do not allow the lack of feelings and the little nuisance circumstances at Mass cause you to lose confidence in Our Blessed Mother’s intercession. Things like that will always happen…try to brush them away like flies and then forget about them.

Sometimes it takes a while to notice that an attitude we had about something changed, or blessings are given that we sometimes do not even notice.

Over the years I have made the Consecration of “True Devotion to Mary” about seven times. Sometimes I was not aware of blessings received until I had some hindsight. And sometimes the inspirations and blessings were very noticeable.

So regardless of what you experience or don’t experience, be assured that Our Lady is taking special care of you as you are bringing yourself closer to her.
