Welcome to the boards! I am going to move your post over to Spirituality where it “fits” better.

St Pio is my son’s Confirmation Patron.

He’s a great saint. He helped increase my praying and Mass-going a lot. I knew he existed but didn’t know much about him till a couple years ago I was up Googling in the night and found some Web pages with quotes and stories from him on Purgatory. Scared me into really upping my prayer and Mass game. I hope to go to his shrine sometime.

Welcome to the forum, Alhuang. 🙂

I also have a prayer devotion to St. Padre Pio.

He is an inspiration to me.

He is my Spiritual Father! I can’t imagine life without him.

Welcome to CAF, Alhuang4955!

Indeed. Padre Pio is easily one of the greatest saints of the 20th century. I have always felt a special closeness to him because his feast day and my birthday are the same. I have been to his shrine in Barto, PA a couple of times. Well worth the visit. They have a first class relic, one of the gloves that he wore, and on certain days you can be blessed with it.

I also recommend the book “Padre Pio: The True Story” by C. Bernard Ruffin.

I visited San Giovanni Rotondo where Padre Pio lived for most of his time in religious life and the church with Padre Pio’s body in the crypt in Italy. He is wonderful. I would highly recommend “Padre Pio: Man of Hope” by Renzo Allegri. It is a highly detailed and very readable telling of his entire life story from birth to death, translated from the original Italian.

So funny you posted this because I’m planning a day trip to his local shrine this week ❤️

He is Miracle Man
Though I Christian
Holy Spirit gifts
Faith, miracles prophecy
Whole nine yards

Find a spiritual director priest. The catholic faith advises not to believe in a personal supernatural experience unless a priest tells you it came from God ☺️

Are you catholic?

Have many been healed through your prayers?

If so: join a catholic charismatic prayer group, ☺️
The Vatican have approved that the gift of healing is present in catholic charismatic prayer groups/ healing masses etc

Padre Pio’s first name as a layperson was Francis. Brother Pio was his chosen religious name as a friar.
