St. Patrick's Cathedral NYC Midnight Mass

Just thought I would mention, for those planning to be in or around NYC for Christmas, that the ticket reservations (limited to 2 per person) for the annual Midnight Mass are now online at stpatrickscathedral.org . They used to take requests by snail mail…apparently they have stopped doing that recently and now doing it all online.

They still have a couple hundred spots left, and reservations are free, but as the ticketed Midnight Mass always fills quickly, don’t wait if you think you might want to go.

Thanks! I’d forgotten that the ticket lottery runs from September to October. I signed up. I feel a little disloyal to my own diocese (Brooklyn), but I’ve always wanted to go to St. Pat’s for midnight Mass.

I’m a little worried because they put the link up and active before Sept 1, although it was probably Sept 1 somewhere in the world. I signed up Aug 31 and got the confirmation email back. I hope I got a ticket, if not I guess I will try the line stand method of getting in. I have a regular place I stay in NYC and St. Patrick’s is actually my home parish when I am there. Have never been to Midnight Mass yet though.

I would love to be able to attend a Christmas Mass there. Midnight or not. 🙂
