Today in the catholic calendar is saint Pelayo, a saint from X century in Spain. His history is very unknown. He was a catholic child in Spain, he was only 8 years. The caliphate of Cordova ruled great part of Spain. The calipha Abdherraman III was a rare muslim, blue eyed and red hair and he was for seeming more arabic the black hair. He had a great harem of girls and boys for having sexual relations.
But he loved from Pelayo, it was pederasty, and he invited to the palace of Medina Azahara in Cordova, but Pelayo didn´t want anything with him. And Pelayo removed the calipha´s beard, he started it. And he was beheaded.
Sad story but I remembered today, his saint and would be a good patron for the abuse victims.

Where can we find more info about him??? I did a google search, but only came up with him being a martyr, with no real story attached.
It is interesting that today seemed to be a lot of “gay pride” parades. To have a saint that is an example of everything “gay pride” is not about!
