The list of saints and Popes devoted to her is significant: saints.sqpn.com/saint-philomena/

She is found by those with faith and is lost by those without.

Trust her. St. Jean Vianney did, and he -knew- her you may well know.

St. Philomena, ora pro nobis.

My uncle was diagnosed with stomach and bone cancer. He was in ICU dying and they (the doctor) wanted to know how he wanted to go…(fighting or make him comfortable). He said fighting… I put the St. Philomena Oil I got from a friend and his stomach cancer “disappeared”. He had been away from his faith for a long time and God gave him the opportunity to get right with Him. (I took communion to him daily). He was able to get his life in order with God and died 9 months later in peace. I remember he would say that he would be going to hell with his friends…money was his god. DIVINE MERCY! Thank you St. Philomena~!

I have a miracle to tell. It was probably about twelve years ago, A friend of our was dating this guy (Rocky)and he was diagnosed with throat cancer. It was very advanced and he was young. The prognosis was very poor. It was the talk of our office( I was a Home health Nurse at the time) he was discharged from the hospital and required nurse visits at home. When I told my mom about our friend she went to get a St. Jude prayer card from the catholic book store. They were out of them but the woman there suggested asking St. Philomena for help. We hadn’t heard of her but took the card. As my mom left the book store she was very close to being in a horrible accident but made it safely through the intersection. The next day we went to visit Our friend who was caring for her boyfriend. He was in the bedroom too weak to come out. So we were talking and looking at a photo album. She showed us a picture and said that it was Rocky’s Aunt Philomena. I couldn’t believe it. I had never heard that name before in my life. Turns out Aunt Philomena had died the year before and she was Rocky’s favorite aunt. We went back to the bedroom and was telling Rocky about this. He jumped out of the bed ( he had been too weak to get up) went and got a bible that she had given him. and it was very used a worn had passages underlined, ect. She was a devout catholic who married a Jew and he converted. We left there knowing that Rocky would be cured we felt that we were were witnessing a miracle. And we were,🙂 he is still cancer free. l

Well, St. Philomena is a true Saint. I believe all that the popes who spoke on her were right. I have myself received many graces through her intercession. You can visit the official website of her shrine. www.philomena.it.

The then-reigning Pope Gregory canonized Saint Philomena
in 1937 by granting public approval for the cultus of her veneration, based SOLELY on the overwhelming evidence of the power of her intercession (the private revelations had never even been received yet by the nun and the priest, which happened many years later, allegedly detailing some of the facts of her life).

What we do know is this:
In 1802, in the Christian Catacomb of Saint Priscilla,
workers disovered her tomb closed with three tiles which, when arranged according to modern custom, read:
PAXTE CUMFI LUMENA, or Pax Tecum Filumena.
When the tomb was opened, her body was found with a vial of dried blood placed next to her skull. As the dried blood was being poured into a glass holder, it began literally to turn in to rubies, diamonds, and gold pieces, ---- a phenomenon which regularly occurs right down to the present day.
Physicians called in to examine the tiny body determined that the
roughly 12 year old girl had been violently lanced to death by either a sword or a spear. This young Christian girl was clearly a martyr, not even considering the the symbols of martyrdom on her clay tomb tiles.
Now, a Professor named Marucci later claimed that because the tiles were in the wrong order, this meant that this was a re-used tomb and that the tiles had been scrambled on purpose to show that the girl inside was not “Fi Lumena” but someone else.
This RIDICULOUS theory, which is repeated by her detractors to this day, has been PROVEN FALSE over and over again.
First of all, these were clay tiles and any breaking them open and re-cementing them would have likely chipped and cracked the tiles, but the tiles were in pristine condition. Moreover, re-use of the tiles to cement a tomb would result in two layers of cementing on the tiles and tomb itself. Repeated examination of both proved conclusively that the tiles had only been cemented
ONCE and ONCE ONLY and to the very SAME tomb.
And why would a Christian family bury their daughter in a tomb with a name painted on the tiles which was NOT HERS? The very suggestion is vulgar as all get-out.
Saint Philomena is a fully-canonized Saint of the Church, which canonization is an exercise of the infallibility of the Pope and magisterium. It can NEVER be DE-canonized.
However, local liturgical practices using the Official Mass of St. Philomena were removed from the liturgical calendar. She can still be (and is) venerated by Masses in her honor, using the Common of the Martyrs. Her devotional center in Mugnano del Cardinale, Italy is fully operational with Vatican approval, and her Archconfraternity = an official Church Archconfraternity – is fully in operation today with Vatican full approval. I am a member of her Archconfraternity. For more information about her, and to obtain devotional items that are authentic, please contact

You may also contact www.myphilomena.com (or is it
www.myphilomena.org – do double check on that. Her authentically, authoritaritively blessed, official SACRAMENTAL holy oil is available from these above addresses for a donation of $5 per red bottle, to covert the cost of packing and shippiing.
God bless !!

“St. Philomena, powerful with God, Pray for Us!!”

My great grandmother took the name Philomena for her Confirmation which would have taken place around 1918. She prayed to St Philomena to be able to come to America some day and her prayer was answered in spite of great financial and physical difficultiies. Thank you, St Philomena, for bringing us here!

She is absolutely wonderful and has helped me out in so many different ways. She helped me when I was purchasing my first house, she helped me with my pregnancy with my twins and she helped me get into law school. She is my GIRL! I love her and trust her to help me with the important things in my life. She prays for me and my loved ones and it is so true ~ she is POWERFUL with GOD!!!

Thank you St. Philomena.
