I was wondering if anyone knew about the present location of the St. Philomena statue that wept in Sterling Heights? This is the statue that was in that Religious Shop that I was told got closed some time ago and with St. Philomena’s Feast coming I want to know where the statue is. I heard there was a new religious shop there now but I am not sure if the statue is there or not.
By the way this miracle was approved by the Chaldean Catholic Diocese according to the statue’s owner so please don’t start an unapproved revelation on me please!

:blessyou:

I understand that the Archdiocese of Detroit moved the statue to a secret location pending investigation of the claims. Perhaps your best bet is to call them.

I heard in the Detroit News some years ago when it began that the Archdiocese of Detroit would not get involved in the miracle. Also since the owner is Chaldean I see no wrong reason for him to present the case to the Chaldean Diocese which is located in Southfield at the Mother of God Cathedral.
So if anyone has any information please post it here and thanks for all the responses.

Thanks for putting the article link. I have read that same article a long time ago.
The information that I got now was from I think either 2002 or 2003 when I spoke to the owner of the statue about the current status of the miraculous occurance. He told me that the statue was investigated by the Chaldean Catholic Diocese which I guess is part of the Eastern Rite and that they had approved the miracle. However I think the Archdiocese of Detroit which is of the Roman Rite never did approve the statue. So I considered this statue approved because I knew that an Eastern Rite diocese in union with Rome approved the statue. So I just want to point that out so as to clear up any doubts or thoughts. So overall the statue is approved by the Chaldean Diocese but not by the Archdiocese of Detroit.
