Just a quick question on the appropriate way to write about someone who was a Pope, and a Saint, what is the proper way to do so?

e.g.

“St. Pope Pius X”

or

“Pope St. Pius X”

Thanks!

I am not sure the Pope part is included. I have always seen it as just St. Pius X. But I am not sure and that its an interesting question and I look forward to seeing the correct way of writing it.

God bless

If you are including the papal title then “Pope St Pius X” or “St Pius X, pope” are both correct.

I’ve always heard Pope St. Gregory the Great, Pope St. Pius X, etc.
