Priest leaves for dissenting parish

The Rev. Michael McDevitt of St. Agnes Cathedral had advised his fellow priest the Rev. Marek Bozek not to defy church authorities and take a job in a dissenting parish in St. Louis.

But the 30-year-old Polish native didn’t change his mind: He is moving to St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, stepping into a feud between the parish’s lay board of directors and Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis.

Another step closer to excommunication. Looks like a priest will be going out with them, what a shame…

AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL CATHOLICS AND SUPPORTERS OF ST. STANISLAUS KOSTKA POLISH ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

Archbishop Burke has sent his message out to all Catholics of the St. Louis Archdiocese as a “truthful and balanced” commentary on the conflict with St. Stanislaus Parish. He did this by requiring all parishes to publish his opinions in their weekly bulletins and through his controlled newspaper the St. Louis Review. Through his office and his editorial staff, he refuses to publish the position of the parishioners of St. Stanislaus Parish. Therefore, the Parishioners OF St. Stanislaus have no other alternative to get their message to our fellow Roman Catholics and other Supporters of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church than to publish this commentary in this manner.
