Can someone recommend to me a good book that explains/describes St. Teresa of Avila’s Interior Castle and seven mansions? I’ve read some things that give an overview but would like to “go through” it with her and understand it all better. There are a LOT of books out there about her, but I am hoping for some personal recommendations.

This one by Susan Muto is very good. It summarizes the mansions very nicely and keeps things in easy to understand language:

Fr. Dubay’s “Fire Within” also provides a good mansion-by-mansion summary … as well as other aspects of her teaching and St. John of the Cross too.

“Fire Within” by Thomas Dubay is an AMAZING book upon the teachings of St. Teresa and St. John of the Cross.
 
You can read most of Fr. Dubay’s book in google books. I was able to read the entire chapter on the mansions online. 🙂
