LONDON, SEPT. 28, 2009 (Zenit.org). The bishops’ of England and Wales estimate some 68,700 people visited the relics of St. Thérèse during the first 10 days of the tour of her relics.

The relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux will be visiting the United Kingdom through Oct. 16. They arrived Sept. 16. The relics have gone through some 40 countries.

During the U.K. tour, the relics have just one stop at a non-Catholic site: the York Minster, a cathedral of the Church of England.

Wonderful! The UK needs a Saint of Therese’s special talent! She could melt even the most icy heart.
 
We are lucky to have a shrine to St Therese containg some relics at Mount Carmel in Niagara Falls in Canada.

Cool! I hope I get a chance to visit her relics sometime.

Minor correction: York Minster is currently Anglican but it was stolen from the Catholics who built it.

My English Catholic grandmother used to visit cathedrals and mutter under her breath, “Stolen property!” --according to my dad. :eek:

I’m so very happy to know that St. Therese is attracting such a large crowd including non Catholics in England. I hope She will have a great spiritual impact on a lot of people.I wish St.Therese’s relics will one day be brought to Sri Lanka as well.

I’ve gotten to see her relics in the USA nearly 10 years ago, i hope she returns again here someday.
